Returns (General)     (See below for Rocking Horses and other larger items)

You can return anything you're not happy with within 28 days of receiving it provided you have contacted us within 7 days of receipt to advise of its return.

We will not pay the costs of returning an item to us.

Until we receive the goods you are returning, they are your responsibility. For your protection and peace of mind, we recommend you use a recorded delivery service to return things.

To get a full refund, simply return the item to us in its new and original condition in its original packaging within 28 days.

If the item has been damaged  on return due to bad repackaging we reserve the right to withold a percentacge of the refund.

Items Faulty on Arrival

If your items are faulty on arrival, you have 28 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault.

We carry spare parts for some of our products, and can sometimes rectify faults by sending you the parts.

Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation.

Once we have verified the fault, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs.

We check all returned items, and if a returned item is found not to be faulty we will return the item to you. In this instance you will be liable for the return carriage.

Rocking Horses          (and potentially other larger items).

These rocking horses are large and fairly expensive to deliver, so be sure to order the right rocking horse for your child. We can advise you if you are unsure as to which size to order. Generally, if in doubt, go for the larger one as it will have more longevity, unless the price is your main consideration. Any returns will be at your expense, and must be returned unused, and in original undamaged condition for us to issue a refund.

Always open the packaging carefully and retain for as long as you deem necessary as you will not be able to return the horse to us in one piece without it.

Pack and tape it (in its original un-assembled condition) with care using wide packaging tape, and making sure that it sticks well! 

Upon receipt of any rocking horse, please do not refuse delivery if you suspect any damage. Just tell us about it afterwards, and we will sort it out very quickly. (Damage is very rare)

If the rocking horse is one of our smaller ones, and has batteries, make sure that you are using new batteries, and that any switches are in the “on” position.  

All returns will be at your expense until we have verified legitimate faults/damage, and then we will reimburse your return costs. You can email pictures of damage, in which case we will arrange collection or send out replacement part at our expense.

Finally, we are a small family run business and your satisfaction is our concern. If you have any questions or problems, then please speak to us. We will do all we can to help and make your purchase a happy one!

These return procedures do not in any way affect your statutory rights.

Order terms

All orders are accepted upon, and subject to, the following terms and conditions:

When you place an order with The1ForU, you are entering a legally binding contract. You are also declaring that you are at least 18 years of age.

1. Statutory Rights

Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions.

2. Delivery

2.1 We carry huge stocks, and all orders will be dispatched within 1 - 2 working days. Orders are normally expected to be received by you "The Customer" within 3 working days, and this includes large items such as rocking horses which are sent on a NEXT DAY SERVICE with FedEx. We reserve the right to surcharge deliveries to Scottish Highlands, and British Isles in accordance with FedEx delivery zones.

2.15 The1ForU will endeavour to ensure that all goods and consignments are delivered within 7 days of the order date at the very latest. You will be informed immediately if there is to be a delay of any sorts.

2.2 Each order will be deemed to constitute a separate contract.

2.3 The1ForU reserves the right not to accept orders from certain countries or to only dispatch goods once funds have cleared. Please email us if you are in any doubt as to where we can deliver.

2.4 For any international orders placed you will be responsible for any extra duty or customs charges placed on the goods by the authorities of your country.

3. Price and Product Details

3.1 All prices quoted by The1ForU are in pounds Sterling (£) and all product prices exclude the cost of delivery unless otherwise stated.

3.2 We try to ensure that all the information on the website is as accurate as possible. We cannot be held responsible for any errors on this site, including but not limited to those regarding price. We reserve the right to make changes to our website including prices and products without any notice given.

3.3 If for any reason an item ordered is not available we will contact you via email and offer you the option to cancel the order or arrange a later delivery date.

3.4 We do however reserve the right to partially ship your order, but we will never ship an alternative product without obtaining authorisation beforehand (this applies to UK orders only, International orders will be shipped only when all products ordered are available).

4. Returns Policy

4.1 In accordance with the Distance Selling Directive (2000) you may cancel your order within 7 working days of delivery. This period commences from the day after the goods have been received. A full refund will be made within 30 days of the cancellation date. This refund will include the separate cost of delivery and packaging charged to you. You are required to contact The1ForU by email to jacqui@the1foru.co.uk first to obtain a returns number. The effective date of cancellation is the date on which the notice is sent.

4.2 If you are not entirely satisfied with any product you have purchased from us or your delivery arrives damaged you must advise us within 7 working days and post it back to us within 30 calendar days.

4.3 All items returned to us are at the customers cost. If you live within our locality we can arrange to collect the items ourselves and the cost for this charged to the customer or deducted from the refund.

4.4 Refunds for items will only be given if the items are returned in their original packaging and in pristine condition.

4.5 Refunds for any other reason are left to the discretion of The1ForU management.

5. Privacy

5.1 All information is upheld with the strictest confidence. We will not disclose any of your details to any third party.

5.2 Any information that is collected is done so in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

5.3 The1ForU does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.

6. Information we collect and how we use it.

6.1 We collect information from orders placed by customers. This information includes shipping and billing (if different) name, address, email address, telephone number and if paying by credit card; the card number and expiry date.

6.2 Other information can be collected from our mailing list. You will need to sign up to join our mailing list. This information is used to send you information regarding new products, special offers and other details relating to The1ForU . You can remove yourself from our mailing list at anytime.

7. General Terms

7.1 Under no circumstances may you distribute, modify or re-use any of the content without permission.

7.2 Links to third parties may be added to our site. Please be aware that we will not be held responsible for their content, privacy policies and any other views or business practices they may have.

7.3 The construction validity and performance of any contract shall be governed by the laws of England.

8. Force Majeure

8.1 In the event of any happening beyond the control of The1ForU or its supplies such as civil disturbances, strikes etc. The1ForU reserves the right without any liability to extend the contractual date for delivery or terminate the contract in whole or in part.
